Arizona Speed and Marine has developed a new Super Charger Kit with Air/Water Charge cooler for the new 6.1 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. When we sat down to lay out the kit there was no second guessing the heart of the supercharger system and a Vortech V2-SQ was called to duty. Arizona Speed and Marine has coupled the V2-SQ with an industry leading Air/Water Charge Cooler to provide a cool dense charge of boost to insure the most Horsepower out of the 5psi system. The kit at 5 psi will produce an additional 120 plus fly wheel horsepower. The tuning approach was handled via plug and play electronics, eight larger injectors, and a two bar map sensor to insure the fuel supply under boosted demands.
Arizona Speed and Marine took a different approach designing the supercharger system for the Hemi motor due to the stock manifold design. The stock manifold does not lend itself to simply installing auxiliary fuel injectors directly behind the throttle valve in the air stream like other supercharger kits. On Hemi motors the stock manifolds are designed to move air, not air mixed with fuel, so we immediately ruled out the auxiliary injector design. Our design eliminates the “add-on auxiliary injectors” and replaces the stock injectors with eight larger units. Arizona Speed and Marine has a long standing reputation for good engineering and while this approach cost a little more it need’s to be done on the Hemi motors in order to get proper fuel distribution and engine reliability.
In addition, our design provides a large air-water charger cooler unit to maintain cooler air inlet temperatures and eliminates restrictions in the blower circuit (which further reduces inlet air temperature) The engine mounting brackets are billet aluminum and polished to match the supercharger, after cooler and inlet ductwork. The Arizona Speed and Marine kit is a complete kit and no additional parts are needed.
